1974. A successful writer, the wife of a Politburo member, comes to a remote Siberian village, ostensibly in search of inspiration for her new novel. A mysterious KGB major is assigned to her side, and she herself does not know if it is for security or supervision. However the true goal of her expedition is more risky and hopeless, and the obstacle on her way is much stronger than both her high-ranking husband and the major who falls desperately in love with her.
